FULLY VOLATILE trailed the pace early, loomed four wide through the turn to contest the pace in the upper stretch, began to edge away in the final sixteenth, held off a late drive. BENJI STAR shadowed the pace three wide, took towards the inside at the quarter to get around foe, repositioned back three wide at the furlong, showed a rally that came up just short. CONFRONT vied for command in the early stages, put a head in front through the turn, dueled with FULLY VOLATILE in the upper stretch until giving way at the eighth. LUCKY ROMANCE settled back to trail shortly after the start, steadily improved position. UTOPIAN was rated between rivals, backed off in the far turn, angled out five wide in the stretch to make minor improvements. EVAN ON EARTH vied for the early lead from the inside, conceded going into the turn, angled out four wide in the upper stretch to split foes then flattened out. SOUTH BEND TOM hit the gate at the start, tracked the pace from the inside, steadied approaching the seven sixteenths, trailed until passing retreating foe late in the stretch. GOLDBRICK moved up to stalk the pace three wide, retreated at the quarter.
