UNCLE JOHN set a pressured pace while being well handled on the inside and shook clear by the quarter pole and then was sent down nearing the furlong marker and put to left handed crop and drew off to prove much the best. FLY THE W was allowed to settle early towards the inside, two wide entering the far turn and moved out to be four wide by the quarter pole, came six wide off the bend and ran on willingly to win the bob for the place award. NINJA STAR chased the early pace, in between rivals by the half mile marker and was three wide on the turn and kept on but lost the bob for the place award. LONGBRANCH LOU was reserved early on the outside, four to six wide on the far turn and came seven wide into the lane and improved position. DIXIE PREACH was settled back early on the inside and came two wide into the lane and passed the tiring rivals. CARENTAN was five wide into the first turn, tracked the pace four wide and made a three wide bid leaving the five sixteenths but could not sustain that bid and weakened. OUTTA MONEY pressed the pace three to two wide and then weakened. BLUE SLIDE PARK was settled early and raced three to five wide on the far turn and had no rally. CHAPLIN was away alertly and well placed on the inside and stopped on the far turn.
