LIGHTNING TONES was allowed to settle early, made a long three wide move on the far turn and took over leaving the turn by to be clear by the furlong marker and then drew away to prove best under a mild drive. LURE HIM IN pressed HADES two wide under a good hold and made a two wide bid to gain a short lead leaving the five sixteenths and then was between rivals by the quarter pole and tipped out three wide leaving the turn nearing the furlong marker and kept on to be clearly second best. HADES was off about a half a length slow and quickly recovered on the inside to set a pressured pace, then was headed and vied for command to the quarter pole but weakened in the final furlong while clearly besting the rest. AWESOME TRAIN tracked the pace between rivals and two wide on the turn and tired. PURE CLASS chased the pace on the inside and was ridden along by the five sixteenths marker but tired. The final margins were made by the writer of this chart.
