SURF'S UP set the pace in the two path, dug in inside of foes and held firm under strong left-handed urging. MOON LANDING broke awkwardly, saved ground off the pace, swung four wide near the quarter pole, closed outside and ran out of ground. SPLIT STRIKE pressed the winner in the three path, could not get past that foe and lost second late. BLAZING BUCCHERO chased the pace two wide and lacked a rally. SHERMAN FURY trailed in the two path.
