SARATOGA FLASH was three wide into the first turn while prompting the pace, then pressed the leader two wide and made a two wide bid nearing the quarter pole and shook clear three wide off the bend but idled when straightened to the furlong marker and then shook clear inside the furlong grounds but was caught late and then lost the place award nearing the wire. GRAND DAVID set the pace along the inside and then was pressured by the five furlong marker and headed nearing the quarter pole, then gave way grudgingly in the lane. TALL STORY was rated along the inside and saved ground throughout, came two wide into the lane and kept on one pace but had no late kick. READY FOR A FIGHT tracked the pace along the inside to the two path and came three wide off the bend but faded in the final furlong. NOBLE TIGER was reserved along the inside but had no rally.
