Footnotes
THE PRINCE'S SPUR stalked the pace two wide between foes, angled out in upper stretch, seized command near the eighth pole and drew off under mild urging. LOOKIN AT ROSES tracked the pace three wide, bid outside of the winner in upper stretch, was no match for that foe but kept on for the place. TICKING pressed the pace two wide, led around much of the turn through midstretch then held well enough for the show. SPEED CONTROL failed to menace while racing three and four wide. PHILHARMONIC had early speed and retreated three wide around the turn. SANTOS TO WILSON had his head turned at the start, set the pace along the rail and tired in the lane.
