SOUND OF THE BEAST stalked the early pace from the outside and advanced four to two wide on the turn, made a two to three wide bid leaving the turn to go on even terms for command by the furlong marker and then kicked clear to prove best under a drive. IMAPEPPA was allowed to settle early, advanced two to three wide on the turn and ran on willingly to be second best. DOGWOOD CROSSING was allowed to settle early towards the inside, made a two to three wide run on the turn and came four wide off the bend and had a mild late rally to gain the show award. FIGHTING WORDS was reserved early on the inside, moved out to the two path on the turn and swung out six wide leaving the turn and had a belated rally. LAZIO bumped with a rival at the break, set the pace on the inside and came under a ride nearing the quarter pole and was headed leaving the three sixteenths and weakened in the final furlong. CAJUN'S COOKIN tracked the early pace in between rivals, then chased the pace two wide to the inside on the turn and weakened. EL GUTY stalked the pace three wide and in between rivals early, then steadied between rivals by the seven sixteenths and dropped back. MILO was bumped at the break, tracked the pace on the inside but came up empty in the drive.
