ROCKETEER was away alertly and soon clear to set the pace from the inside and was well handled while two wide on the turn and came two wide off the bend and was sent down nearing the furlong marker and drew out to prove much the best under right handed crop urging. BEAR CLAW NECKLACE stalked the winner throughout and raced three wide on the turn and came three to four wide off the bend but proved to be no match while saving the place award. BIG TIMER was rated along and moved to the rail, saved ground on the turn and was coaxed along nearing the quarter pole and ran on one paced to the wire but needed more while besting the rest. TOP MAVERICK was settled early and raced two to three wide on the turn, came four wide into the lane but had no rally. THREE LITTLE BIRDS was reserved early, saved ground on the turn and never threatened.
