CONGRESSIONAL saved ground in range, swung four wide turning for home, continued on the left lead in the lane, surged outside and was up on the wire. COMPREHENSIVE stalked the pace two wide, took the lead nearing the quarter pole, led through the lane, drifted out late and was nailed. CHEMICAL ROMANCE settled off the early pace two wide, bid three wide around the far turn, vied outside of COMPREHENSIVE through much of the stretch, was outfinished late then was steadied between foes in the final strides. GONDORFF chased the pace three wide, dropped back under urging still three wide around the turn and ran on through the lane for a minor share. COBURG saved ground to no avail. PROTECT AND DEFEND checked repeatedly through the opening three furlongs, bumped FORTUNY entering the first turn, raced three and four wide and lacked a rally. FORTUNY broke slowly, was bumped entering the first turn, raced three wide around that bend, saved ground around the far turn and never threatened. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT set the pace along the rail, was collared near the quarter pole and retreated through the lane. AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF CHEMICAL ROMANCE AGAINST COMPREHENSIVE FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED.
