Footnotes
THE BRIGADE settled off the pace inside, advanced three wide around the far turn, swung widest in upper stretch, closed outside and was up late. IRISH GENT (IRE) was bumped on both sides at the start, saved ground off the pace around the first turn, angled out down the backstretch, advanced four wide around the far turn, rallied between foes, led late but was narrowly outkicked. NAME IT chased the early pace four wide, bid two wide around the far turn, took the lead near the quarter pole, led past the eighth pole and held for the show. GIURO bumped at the start, raced two wide and never threatened. MARUVY raced in range three wide, bid three deep rounding the far turn, continued on the left lead in the lane and faded. BEIJING BOSS bumped at the start, moved three wide to the lead around the first turn, dueled two wide down the backstretch, angled to the rail entering the far turn, led to the quarter pole and tired. COUSIN ED chased the pace inside and came up empty in the lane. ROYAL BROWNE steadied nearing the first turn, moved two wide to the lead around that bend, vied inside down the backstretch and gave way nearing the far turn. CRUISING failed to menace while racing three and four wide.
