LONGBRANCH LOU was rated along two wide and made a three wide bid to vie for command by the five sixteenths and took over nearing the furlong marker and then moved out to hold off the late closing PALACE VIEW (IRE) to prove best. PALACE VIEW (IRE) was settled early two wide, advanced three to four wide on the far turn and closed well on the outside but could not get by the winner. UNCLE JOHN moved out entering the first turn and prompted the pacesetter two wide and made a two wide bid to vie for command in between rivals by the five sixteenths and then dueled with the winner off the bend but faded in the final furlong while saving the show award. RIGEL set the pace on the inside and then vied for command on the far turn but faded in the drive. NATE THE GREAT chased the pace on the inside, then moved off the inside to be two to three wide on the far turn, angled out leaving the turn but had no kick. CORTA FUEGO was allowed to settle early, then came under a ride on the far turn but had no rally.
