Footnotes
GOLDEN VALLEY chased the early pace from the outside, made a four wide bid by the quarter pole, floated out five wide leaving the turn and drew clear leaving the furlong marker to prove best while drawing away under right handed crop urging. BEAUTIFUL BOLT was soon clear and set the pace while well clear early, raced in the two path on the turn and was engaged by the winner nearing the quarter pole, came four wide off the turn and turned back that challenge briefly but was headed again by the furlong marker and proved to be no match for that rival in the final sixteenth while clearly second best. SMOOTH CLARET chased the pace and advanced three wide on the turn, swung out six wide leaving the turn but weakened while staying on for the show award. FIVE EYES ONMICHEL threw head at the start and was slow to go early, settled into stride and raced three to four wide on the turn, came five wide into the lane but had no rally. LADY PATRICK'S was settled early and saved ground on the turn but had no response.
