ROAR OF THE BEAST bumped with the horse to his inside at the start, stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path and drew off in the lane while drifting mildly. MAHOVLICH chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, navigated the bend from the four path and kept on in the lane. NOBLE PRINCE bumped with the horse to his inside at the break, settled off the pace on the outside for the run up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path and made no threat. ROMAN HUNTER trailed the field up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and showed no kick. PROUD AMERICAN raced off the pace on the inside through the opening quarter, swung out to the five path coming around the bend and made no bid. CULMINATE led the way up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and tired in the stretch.
