CAPTAIN EDDIE pressed the pace from the rail, took over in upper stretch, drew clear in midstretch and dug in late to repel a challenge. PRINCE DAVID lacked early speed, advanced five wide around the turn, rallied through the lane and just missed. WASAMATTAFOYOU set the pace outside of the winner and weakened in the lane. FIGHTING WORDS failed to menace while racing four and five wide. IMAPEPPA chased the pace two wide, continued on the left lead in the lane and lacked a closing bid. DOGWOOD CROSSING played no factor while racing three wide. EL GUTY stalked the pace three wide and came up empty in the lane.
