ABABAJONI set the pace in the two path, was headed by an inner rival in upper stretch but responded to the challenge and edged ahead through the final furlong. MY FAVORITE BIRD stalked the pace from the rail, got through inside of the winner and took a narrow lead in upper stretch but was outfinished by that foe. BRONZE BULLET rated four wide around the first turn, stalked three wide around the far turn and was one-paced through the lane to maintain the show. NICKEL C off the pace three wide between foes and had only a mild stretch rally. TRELAWNY chased the pace four and five wide and lacked the needed rally. JUSTIN SMILES saved ground off the pace, went four wide around the far turn and never threatened. MICANOPY was outrun while racing two and three wide. SQUIRE had some speed three wide early but dropped back down the backstretch and had no response around the far turn.
