DRY POWDER stumbled at the start, advanced four wide around the turn, took over nearing the quarter pole and drew off under left-handed urging in the lane. VELVET VORTEX vied two wide for six furlongs, could not keep pace with the winner in upper stretch but kept on well to be clearly second best. MIDTOWN LIGHTS had early speed between foes, dropped back under urging nearing the far turn, raced two wide around the bend and churned on through the lane to gain the show. HER TOWN was in tight at the start, advanced inside down the backstretch, vied at the rail into the turn and faded after six furlongs. SUDDEN SWITCH led outside down the backstretch, chased three wide around the turn and faltered in the lane. PURE BEAUTY failed to menace while racing five wide. MACANGA chased the pace two wide and came up empty in the lane.
