Footnotes
THE GREAT OSCAR prompted the early pace three wide and then made a two wide bid on the far turn and came three wide off the turn dueling for command, gained a short lead nearing the furlong marker then was put to a long drive and held sway to prevail. ALWAYS TRUE was rated along early, three wide on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and finished well gaining the place award. MESSAGE OF HOPE (IRE) was well placed along the rail, stayed on the inside to nearing the quarter pole and eased off the inside and swung out four wide leaving the turn to make a bid but needed more late. CELTIC PRINCE broke outwardly at the start, then moved in to set a pressured pace two wide on the turn, moved to the inside entering the far turn and was headed leaving the quarter pole and faded in the final furlong. BACKDOOR ROYALTY was hard held on the rail and saved ground throughout but had no rally. BERNABEU was keen and checked repeatedly into and entering the first turn and then moved to the outside down the backstretch and settled, four wide on the far turn and came six wide into the lane but had no late kick.
