JAYHAWK stalked the pace three wide and made a three wide bid by the quarter pole and gained a short lead by the furlong marker and was clear by the sixteenth marker and then maintained a safe margin to the wire under a stiff drive. BATTLE OF DOVER tracked the pace three wide and was four wide by the quarter pole and was slowly gaining late while getting the place award. WALTER ME LAD set the pace on the inside and was headed nearing the quarter pole in the two path and was out-kicked in the lane. BORDER WAR was off slowly, then had outside pursuit down the backside and raced four to five wide on the far turn and came six wide into the lane and had a mild late rally on the outside. CORTA FUEGO bumped with a rival at the start, settled along the inside and rode the rail on the far turn and had a late rally on the rail while getting off the rail late. JIM'S HOPE bumped with a rival at the start, settled back on the inside and moved out to be three wide by the quarter pole and had a belated rally. SPACE LAUNCH was reserved three wide and had no rally. CARENTAN was off a step slow, tracked the pace along the inside and rode the rail on the far turn but weakened in the drive. RASHID was off a step slow, settled early and was in between rivals on the far turn but weakened.
