ZAKINTHOS moved three wide to the lead around the first turn, drew clear down the backstretch, set the pace in the two path around the far turn then drew off under a drive. POWELL RIVER set the early pace along the rail, was content to stalk inside when the winner became intent on the lead down the backstretch, continued to save ground around the far turn, tipped out in upper stretch and finished willingly to hold the place. PARTY ANIMAL raced off the pace two and three wide and rallied for the show. TIME TO STRIKE bumped at the start, raced off the pace two wide, went four wide around the far turn and lacked the needed rally. SALT OF THE EARTH hesitated at the start, was green early, saved ground off the pace, angled out in upper stretch and passed tiring rivals. HIGH LEVERAGE tracked the pace three wide, bid in the three path rounding the far turn but came up empty in the lane. CANDIED UP bumped at the start, saved ground and never threatend. PALPABLE chased the pace two wide and retreated through the lane.
