BACK IN THE SADDLE stalked the pace, challenged the pacesetter on the far turn, took over at the five-sixteenths marker and edged clear under token pressure. OPERATION TORCH led under a snug hold, was challenged on the far turn, proved no match but stayed on to secure the place spot. GIURO saved ground, was angled off the rail up the backstretch run, moved four wide into the stretch and kept on for a minor share. SARATOGA CRUISER outrun early, commenced a bid on the far turn and stayed on in the stretch. CALVINO was settled while four wide early and failed to threaten. LASER raced forwardly while four wide, was urged on the far turn and had no response. ANTONINO was reserved along the inside and never reached contention. INTOLERABLE was reluctant to load and always outrun. BIG BOB was outpaced while four wide and did not factor.
