Footnotes
DAZZLING CRUISER settled three to four wide into the first turn, advanced into the backstretch run, was well placed while two wide approaching the half-mile pole, bid three wide at the quarter pole, vied for the lead with LITTLE TORCH into the stretch, shook free into the final sixteenth, kicked clear late. PATRIOTIC WAR keen and on heels early, settled while saving ground to the backstretch, kept an inside path to the far turn, angled three then four wide for the stretch drive, closed in the lane, could not impact the winner in deep stretch, up for second. LITTLE TORCH hustled for the early lead, took command into the first turn, sprinted to a long lead into the backstretch, came under pressure nearing the quarter marker, dug in into the stretch, yielded late, outfinished for second, held safely for third. PRINCESS SUMMER unhurried early, advanced outside of rivals nearing the half-mile, coaxed three wide to the quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch, needed more late. OXAR off slowly, settled between rivals in the early stages, coaxed two wide and between foes into the far turn, needed more into the stretch drive, flattened out. VANISH broke alertly, vied for the early lead then ceded the front into the first turn, tracked the decent pace from the second flight, bid between rivals into the far turn, could not sustain that bid to upper stretch, weakened in the lane.
