MISS MAGICAL bumped with inner rival at the start, lugged in in the early stages while in pursuit of the pacesetter, loomed from the three path approaching the quarter pole, confronted ARMY MEDIC at that station, battled to mid-stretch, shook free into the final sixteenth, won going away. NEW LEASE ON LIFE forwardly placed early on while inside of runners, caught got in tight entering the turn, lost position nearing the three-eighths, angled out, coaxed from the three to four path into upper stretch, could not impact the winner late, up in time for second. ARMY MEDIC broke alertly, took early command, set the pace to the turn, dictated terms to the quarter pole while off of the rail, met the bid of MISS MAGICAL into the stretch, yielded to the winner in the lane, was outkicked late for second, well clear for third. STARSHIP SPECTACLE shuffled back a bit in the early going then brushed with the lugging in MISS MAGICAL heading to the turn, well placed while saving ground nearing the quarter pole, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, weakened in the lane. VALLEY OF DAWN void of early speed, coaxed outside of rivals into the turn, asked for run three wide to upper stretch, no threat late. LOYALIST ducked in at the start, advanced two wide and between rivals into the turn, coaxed to upper stretch, no late response. SMART LISA settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the turn, trailed into upper stretch, no factor.
