CALATHEA assumed early command, dictated terms to the backstretch while carving out modest fractions, held sway while clear nearing the quarter pole, kept to task to mid-stretch, drifted out into the final sixteenth, proved best. OSHALA close up to the early pace, stalked two then three wide into the backstretch, angled to the rail into the far turn, kept an inside path to the quarter pole then tipped out to upper stretch, chased CALATHEA to mid-stretch, altered course when crowded by that foe in the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch, clear second best. CRAFTY COLLECTOR antsy in the gate, threw her head at the break then off slowly, advanced three wide into the first turn, raced widest along the backstretch, ran in pursuit three to four wide nearing the quarter pole, fanned further out to upper stretch, re-bid into the late stages and was a clear third. SHOW OFF settled off of the early pace, saved ground to the first turn, moved up into the backstretch run, stalked the modest pace approaching the half-mile, chased two to three wide and between foes into the far turn, fanned to the four path upper stretch, weakened in the lane. CHEEKIEST allowed to settle early, saved ground to the half-mile pole, kept an inside path to the far turn, trailed to the quarter marker, no factor in the stretch. GUNESH settled to the first turn, was injured along that bend, pulled up and was transported off of the course via the equine ambulance.
