GREAT VENEZUELA pressed the pace in the three path, took over nearing the quarter pole and drew off under a drive. LACONIA settled off the duel in the clear inside, angled out in upper stretch, was no match for the winner but churned on to gain the place late. CONDORA set a pressured pace in the two path, was collared nearing the quarter pole, shifted out in upper stretch, continued on the left lead and lost second late. GRIDLOCK was outrun while racing two wide. FAST MOTION trailed inside.
