BACKDOOR ROYALTY set the pace on the inside and then was headed nearing the quarter pole, turned back that bid and drew clear leaving the turn in the two path and remained clear to the wire to prove best, driving. FROSTED PUNK was reserved early and hard held on the first turn on the inside, advanced two to four wide on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and closed well but could not get to the winner. ALWAYS TRUE was settled early three to four wide and bumped repeatedly down the backside, then was three wide entering the far turn and angled in leaving the five sixteenths and was on the rail by the quarter pole and rallied on the inside. NOBLE PRINCE was four wide into the first turn and chased the pace and was three wide on the far turn and came four wide into the lane but had no punch. DON'T FIRE JOE was well placed on the inside and then was two wide on the far turn but lacked the needed stretch bid. LASER prompted the pace three to two wide and made a two wide bid on the far turn to go on even terms by the quarter pole but weakened in the lane. CHIVADO was allowed to settle along the inside but lacked a rally. ROYAL SALUTE bumped at the break, settled in between rivals and had no rally. SARATOGA CRUISER was reserved on the outside, bumped repeatedly down the backside and tired.
