DAMON'S MOUND broke alertly and pressed the pace three wide and made a bid in hand to take over and shake clear by the quarter pole, roused leaving the furlong marker and drew away to prove much the best. CLASSIC OF COURSE was off a step slow, moved up the inside to track the pace on the rail, moved out by the quarter pole and came four wide into the lane, moved in and ran on winning the place battle. HURRICANE NELSON set a pressed pace on the inside and then was passed by the winner leaving the three eighths marker and kept on and cut the corner leaving the turn but proved to be no match for the winner while being out-kicked for the place award. FLOOD ZONE tracked the pace and was in between rivals on the turn and moved out leaving the quarter pole, came six wide into the lane and weakened. NOTHINGSUBTLE chased the early pace and then settled on the inside and came three wide into the lane but tired. JOEY MUSCLES was off a step slow and then reserved early, raced four to five wide on the turn and swung out eight wide leaving the turn and was not a threat. NESHUME was bumped early and threw head and then was brushed again by the five furlong marker and tracked the pace on the outside and was four wide on the turn and tired.
