Footnotes
PEPPERMINT MAN set a pressured pace and then dueled for command on the inside to the quarter pole, then made a bid to shake clear leaving the turn to the furlong marker and then held sway late to prove best under a drive. STARSHIP MAGELLAN was well rated and saved ground throughout, came under a ride by the five sixteenths and angled out in the lane and finished well the final furlong. SARATOGA CRUISER was reserved early, two wide on the far turn and came three wide into the lane, angled out nearing the furlong marker and had a late rally to gain the show award on the wire. CANDY ADDICTION was allowed to settle along the inside, eased out while under a ride leaving the five sixteenths and came four wide into the lane, tipped out a bit by the three sixteenths and had a mild late kick while losing the bob for the show award. OPERATION TORCH pressed the early pace three wide and then dueled with the winner two wide but weakened in the lane. GIURO was allowed to settle early twp wide, then came under a ride two to three wide on the far turn to move closer on the front pair, came four wide off the turn but flattened out.
