ARTISTE was hard held three wide while tracking the leaders on the first turn, then dropped to the two path down the backside, between rivals leaving the three eighths to the seven sixteenths, then advanced two wide nearing the quarter pole, moved out and closed while four wide and was given one pop left handed by the furlong marker and responded well, then came in slightly by the sixteenths marker and was bumped by a drifting HOT COCOA and then edged clear to get prove best late. HOT COCOA was away alertly to set a pressured pace on the inside, kicked away leaving the three eighths marker and remained clear by the furlong marker, drifted out by the sixteenth marker cutting off COME ON POPPI and bumping ARTISTE and then was caught. COME ON POPPI was well rated on the inside and then came under coaxing and chased the leader leaving the five sixteenths, tipped out two wide to have aim on the leader and was rallying but had to check leaving the sixteenth marker and cut of and lost all chance.STARLIGHT LUNA bumped at the break, settled on the inside and saved ground on the far turn, cut the corner leaving the turn and had a belated rally. ROSE DANCER broke in and bumped a foe at the break, pressed the pace three wide and fell back on the far turn and weakened. JESSICA'S DREAM was four wide into the first turn and had outside pursuit and chased the pace four to three wide and tired. SPIRIT OF JAMAICA chased the pace on the inside and then two wide on the far turn and tired. STEWARDS INQUIRY and two JOCKEYS OBJECTION the number two against the number one and six for the run by the sixteenth pole, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the OBJECTION against the number six was DISALLOWED but the OBJECTION against the number one was ALLOWED and the number one HOT COCOA was disqualified from second and placed third.
