TIMSHEL attended to the decent pace into the backstretch, vied between rivals into the far turn then battled into the stretch, determinedly dug in into the final sixteenth and held off the runner-up in deep stretch to prevail. I'M SAM well placed early on, stalked the pace three wide to the half-mile, bid into the far turn and took a narrow lead at the quarter marker, battled outside of a pair rivals into the lane, lost the lead to TIMSHEL in the final sixteenth, was denied for the win in deep stretch and held clearly for the place. JUSTIN SMILES settled off of the early pace, never far back along the backstretch, chased from the three then four path into upper stretch, mounted a mild late rally, could not impact the top pair late and was along for the show. TIMEFRAME showed good speed away from the gate, took early command and set a contested pace to the backstretch, came under pressure and met oncoming bids into the far turn, battled into upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and faded late.
