THREE YEAR OLDS. Free nomination by Saturday, April 18. $625 to enter. A $100 supplemental nomination may be made at time of entry. After payment of 1% to all owners of horses finishing sixth through last, 60% of the remaining purse shall be paid to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 12% to third, 5% to fourth, and 3% to fifth. *($25,000 to the owners of a Florida-bred divided $12,500 to the winner, $7.500 to second, $2.750 to third $1,500 to fourth and $750 to fifth). Weight: 124 lbs. Non-winnerso f a stakes race on turf allowed 2 lbs.; two races other than maiden, claiming, starter or state-bred allowance, 4 lbs. Starters to be named by usual time of closing. All fees shall be paid prior to the start of the race. Preference will be given to stakee s winners, stakes placed then by highest career earnings. (If deemed inadvisable to run this race over the turf course, it will be run on the Tapeta Course at One Mile and Seventy Yards) (Rail at 45 feet).

BOLERO BAY broke in and bumped foes at the start, sped to the front two wide around the first turn, cleared and angled in midway around that bend, led at the rail from there, kicked clear in upper stretch, drifted out under left-handed urging in midstretch, straightened out under hand urging from there and held firm. MY FAVORITE BIRD was bumped hard on both sides at the start, tracked the pace from the rail, tipped out in upper stretch, steadied off heels in midstretch and kept on for the place. ZEPHYROS was squeezed back at the start, trailed inside early, steadied off heels midway around the first turn, made progress two wide around the far turn, steadied again near the five-sixteenths marker, angled back to the rail near the quarter pole and rallied inside to gain the show. BRONZE BULLET was reluctant to load, chased the pace three wide, bid between foes nearing the quarter pole and was outkicked in the lane. KNOTY KNICKS raced off the early pace two wide, made a four wide gain around the far turn but failed to sustain the bid in the lane. REDLAND REBELS was sound bumped at the start, prompted the winner two wide, bid between foes nearing the quarter pole and tired in the lane. WAYNE'S LAW was pinched back at the break, raced off the pace inside and had no response. AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF MY FAVORITE BIRD AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERNECE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED.
