JACK KEROUAC set a pressured pace on the inside and then went on even terms to duel for command nearing the quarter pole, but turned back that bid and kicked clear leaving the turn and remained clear to the wire to prove best under left handed crop urging. GOLD FOOT was well placed early on the inside, eased out and made a three to four wide bid leaving the turn but could not get to the winner while clearly second best. SARATOGA FLASH chased the pace two wide on the first turn, then was shuffled back entering the far turn and settled on the inside, advanced up the inside by the quarter pole and came two wide off the turn and angled out nearing the three sixteenths and ran on willingly to best the rest. SMART STRIKER chased the early pace four wide on the first turn and had outside pursuit down the backside and had no rally. RUSE was off a half a step slow, chased the pace three wide in between rivals on the first turn and then weakened on the far turn. RELAMPAGO VERDE pressed the pace three to two wide and made a two wide bid to duel for command by the quarter pole but came up empty in the lane.
