Footnotes
OPERATION TORCH was hard held early on the rail while being keen, settled nicely in the pocket down the backside and eased out to make a two wide bid leaving the quarter pole, and slowly edged clear in the furlong grounds to prove best under a drive. HILLBILLY BOB was hard held while setting a pressured pace in the two path, then settled into stride and moved to the inside entering the far turn while clear and then was engaged by the winner leaving the quarter pole and dug in gamely but was out-kicked in the final furlong while staying on for the place award. ESPERANZITO was rated along three wide and moved out to make a four wide run by the quarter pole and closed well late. MISTER MONOCLONAL tracked the pace two wide and then was three wide by the quarter pole and faded in the drive. LOMAX was off a step slow, reserved on the inside and came three wide into the lane but had no rally. NO MERLOT was off a step slow, reserved early three to two wide, angled in nearing the three sixteenths but lacked a rally. BUCCHERO'S DUDE stalked the pace three wide and tired after six furlongs.
