Footnotes
FIT TO FIRE prominent in the early stages, went up to press the pace outside of WASAMATTAFOYOU heading into the turn, bid past the quarter marker and drew to even terms with that foe into upper stretch, dueled to the final sixteenth, shook free late and drew clear in the final stages. SONG SO SWEET settled in the second flight to begin, saved ground to the turn, angled out nearing the quarter marker, roused four wide to upper stretch then chased to the final sixteenth, could not muster a final bid but got up in time for second. WASAMATTAFOYOU sent to take early command, set the pace while pressed to the quarter marker, met the bid of FIT TO FIRE while off of the rail into upper stretch, yielded to the winner in the final sixteenth, was outfinished late for second, well clear of the rest for third. FIGHTING WORDS settled outside of rivals, coaxed three to four wide to the quarter pole, swung widest for the stretch drive, could not muster the needed response in the drive but passed tiring rivals in the lane to improve position. SWINGING SOLO settled in the second flight, tracked between foes to the turn, shifted in and chased from the rail nearing the top of the lane, ran in pursuit to mid-stretch, weakened in the late stages. FRIOLENTO settled then caught a bit in tight while between rivals in the early stages, saved ground to the turn then trailed to upper stretch, lacked a response to the furlong grounds, no factor late. LOBO GO was forwardly placed early on while outside of rivals, tracked three to four wide to the quarter pole, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, tired in the drive.
