Footnotes
KING JULIEN broke out and hit the gate at the start and was last away, settled in the early stages, steered outside of rivals into the turn then roused five wide to upper stretch, responded well into the final furlong, surged in deep stretch and won the nod on the wire to determinedly prevail. WAR TO REMEMBER broke alertly and took early command, showed good speed while pressed to the turn, shook free along the bend, led from the two path to upper stretch then dug in into the final furlong, led into the final sixteenth, was nailed at the wire for the win and held for the place. EL MUHEET took back off of the solid early pace, saved ground into the turn, kept an inside path to the stretch then bid into the final furlong, was kept at bay to the final sixteenth then outkicked in deep stretch, while holding safely for the show. SANTAL was forwardly placed while three deep in the early stages, chased the leading pair to the quarter marker, spun four wide to upper stretch then battled to the final sixteenth, made a mild late gain but needed more in deep stretch. RELATOR prominent early on, pressed the pace outside of WAR TO REMEMBER heading to the turn, kept close attendance to the pacesetter while two then three wide to upper stretch, battled to the final sixteenth, yielded in deep stretch. BLAZING BUCCHERO settled off of the solid early pace, caught a bit in tight between rivals along the turn, coaxed from the two path to upper stretch, angled out to the final sixteenth and needed more late.
