Footnotes
EYES ON THE GROUND sent for the early lead, made his own pace to the backstretch, was engaged by APACHE ONE SIX and set a disputed pace to the far turn, shook free of that foe to upper stretch then kept to task into the final furlong, was challenged late by the runner-up but held safely for the win. MUSTBETHEMUNNING was away in good order then rated off of the early pace, saved ground to the backstretch then shifted off of the rail nearing the half-mile, angled four wide at the quarter marker, responded well in the lane and rallied to the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was a clear second best. OSIRIS LAW settled to the first turn then trailed into the backstretch, advanced two wide to upper stretch, caught in a bit of traffic at mid-stretch and angled out for the final furlong, was no match late for the top pair but bested the rest for third. STAR OF THE GUN bobbled then squeezed at the start and last away from the gate, advanced outside of rivals along the first turn, tracked the pace four deep nearing the half-mile pole, chased into the far turn then ran in pursuit three wide to upper stretch, lacked the needed response in the drive and was outkicked late for third. APACHE ONE SIX forwardly placed early on then rated to the first turn, re-engaged into the backstretch run and pressed the pace to the half-mile marker, dueled EYES ON THE GROUND to the quarter marker then repelled to upper stretch, gave way in the final furlong. KINGSWEARCROWNS broke outward at the start and off a step slowly, went up to stalk the pace three wide to the backstretch, was well placed to the half-mile, chased into the far turn, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, tired.
