Footnotes
INDY BAY rated off of the early pace and tracked from the inside, well placed while saving ground into the turn, tipped out to the two path to upper stretch, bid while on the left lead nearing the furlong grounds, switched leads and took command past mid-stretch, drew off into the final sixteenth and was in hand late. POIEMA broke alertly, showed good speed away from the start and took early command, set the pace to the turn, carved out a moderate pace to the quarter marker then was confronted by INDY BAY to upper stretch, battled that one into the final furlong, was no match late for the winner but was best of the rest. GALLOP D'HERMES raced close up to the early pace while outside of rivals, stalked three wide into the turn, outkicked into upper stretch, kept on while on the left lead into the final sixteenth and was a clear third. HER TOWN settled in the early stages, coaxed from the two path to upper stretch, could not threaten the leaders into the drive, passed tiring foes late. CHARLIE'S WISH forwardly placed early, stalked the pace between foes along the backstretch, chased two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace to upper stretch and gave way in the drive. BRAGANZA settled mid-pack while between rivals, tracked the leading ground into the turn, coaxed four to five wide to the quarter marker, lost ground into the stretch then weakened in the late stages. PUCKERED bobbled at the start and off slowly, lacked early speed and trailed to the turn, could not muster the needed response to upper stretch, no factor.
