Footnotes
PLAGNE CHAMPAGNE off pace three wide thru the first turn, moved closer before a half, pressed the issue into the far turn, challenged while between horses in the second turn, dueled into and through upper stretch, gained the advantage with less than a furlong remaining and held the runner up safe late under firm handling. MOBAY PRINCESS broke sharp to show the way early, fell back the middle half while along the inside, moved out to race three wide out of the final turn, late rally to be closing the gap. SIMPLY STRIKING with the early pace, fell back off the lead after a quarter inside, continued to track along the inside into the far turn, moved out in the two path through that bend while in some traffic, remained within striking distance through the lane but lacked a knockout punch late. TAPE RUNNER off a step slow, continued to lag in trailing, encountered some traffic toward the inside late in the final turn, shifted out a bit for the drive, roused, finished with good late energy to be going well at the end. SHE PROSPERS settled off the early pace and the inside, advanced with a three wide move to challenge far turn, dueled with the winner into the lane, held a slight advantage past the furlong marker, faltered late to lose considerable position. MARY MARGUERITE in some traffic toward the inside into the first turn, moved out, came four wide out the final turn, lacked a serious closing response. TOUR QUEEN off the leaders into the first turn, lodged an early move four wide to take control onto the backstretch, showed the way into the final bend then gave way when headed midway through that bend, continued back up through the lane.
