Footnotes
CHLOE'S TOY with the pace from the outset, dueled up the backstretch and into the turn off the inside and under restraint, disposed of the other speed to be clear into the lane, came to pressure, continued to hold a daylight advantage past the furlong marker, enough left late to withstand the runner up while drifting out a bit. ANY MOMENT in the second flight early toward the inside, continued to track that lead pack into the turn, was boxed in for much of the bend, steered out three wide for room turning for home, lost some ground to the winner into the stretch, steadily closed the gap on that one to the wire before running out of time, clearly second best. DRUM ROLL off a step slow, recovered and moved up to mid pack along the inside, asked along early in the turn while saving ground, moved out a bit and came in the two path when advancing into the lane, continued with interest to the finish to be in time for the show, too late for the top pair. MISPRINT within striking distance in the second pack while three wide and between horses, floated out by the runner up into the four path exiting the turn, chased that one and the winner past the furlong marker, went flat late to be caught for the third spot. TATOR MADE fell back to trail after the start, continued to see them all into the stretch, picked off a couple of tiring foes late without making an impact. R FIREBIRD dueled up front along the rail and inside the winner, gave way exiting the turn and continued to weaken. CAJUN ANTHEM in the second group while widest up the backstretch, four wide into the bend when still forward, floated out five entering the stretch then retreated.
