Footnotes
PRACTICALLY DARK within striking distance while widest up the backstretch, continued forward and four wide through the turn, moved to challenge on the outside entering the stretch, long drive to the wire, proved best under firm handling. LATCH THE HATCH with the pace off the inside, vied three wide through the turn, came with the winner inside that entering the stretch, brushed with NESHUME in upper stretch, ran on well to the finish to claim the runner up spot. ADIOS NOW lacked speed, was five wide exiting the turn, finished willingly to be closing the gap on the top pair at the wire while remaining out in the middle of the strip. LETHAL SPEED void of speed four a half, came in the two path out of the turn, staged a mild, belated rally to improve position. NESHUME main body inside, steered out and moved up to put a head front between horses just before a quarter, continued to set a pressured pace through the turn, brushed with the runner up when straightened for home and began to weaken, losing a couple of spots late. FOURTH AND CENTRAL broke on top, set or forced the pace along the inside until upper stretch before giving way. ES ARISTOCRATICO (ARG) back off the pace while racing inside, saved ground to no avail in tiring through the lane.
