BRICK CITY ranged up to press the pace from the inside, backed off in the turn and repositioned into the three path entering the stretch, contested the lead at the eighth pole and kept a nose in front through the wire. COSSATOT vied for early command with VALIANT HONOR, claimed a narrow lead just before the half mile marker, shook off the early challenger in the upper stretch and was met by BRICK CITY at the eighth pole, fought hard for a very gamely finish. KAZOOZA tracked the pace four wide in the early stages, flattened out in the stretch. VALIANT HONOR broke on top, vied for command in the early stages before giving way to COSSATOT, continued to press that runner through the turn but had no more for the stretch. BIG TIMER broke slowly, trailed throughout, no factor.
