Footnotes
PURE CLASS settled just behind the pace between runners, knifed through the opposition three wide at the eighth and drew clear. WISTUCKY was off alertly, vied with COMMENDATORE along the inside, shook that one off at the quarter and found himself between bids at the top of the lane, fought hard but ultimately gave way in the final sixteenth. RAGING FURY trailed in the early stages, loomed four wide through the turn to challenge the pace in the upper stretch, flattened out late. GOLDENTOWN chased the early pace setter just off the rail, launched an inside bid rounding the turn to contest the lead in the upper stretch but lacked any final kick. COMMENDATORE broke the gate prior to the start, vied with WISTUCKY from the two path in the early stages, retreated after the quarter pole.
