Footnotes
I WISH YOU LOVE last to leave, lacked early foot, began to move after five furlongs, came four wide into the stretch, exchanged bumps with FLAMEFIRE while keeping that one in tight entering the stretch, set down, late surge to nail the winner in the waning strides. CAPT'N PIKE away well from the inside, moved out a bit and showed the way while three wide into the first turn, moved in a path onto the backstretch, rated in the run into the far turn still just off the inside while seeing his lead reduced considerably, extended that advantage into the straight, stayed clear late, nailed at the wire. TONYTONE tracked the runner up from along the inside, continued to save ground into the final turn, shuffled back when boxed with three furlongs remaining, recovered then went flat through the lane in lacking a closing punch. GIVE ME OPTIONS settled in the second flight while in hand early and off the inside, moved closer to the runner up to apply pressure in the three path midway on the final turn, failed to maintain that advance into and through the lane, losing a couple of positions. FLAMEFIRE lacked any speed while toward the inside backstretch, advanced three wide and between horses exiting the final bend, bumped with the winner upper stretch, in tight, caught some traffic past the furlong maker, finished up evenly when clear. BE WISER BOB in the second flight while racing in the three path, continued in a striking position second turn off the inside, gave way from between horses entering the stretch, continued to fade.
