Footnotes
BOOT'S ON THE MOON settled in the second flight to begin, saved ground into the turn then waited for racing room nearing the quarter pole, found a seam to upper stretch, angled out at the furlong grounds then responded well past mid-stretch, took command to the final sixteenth and kicked clear late. GARUDA vied for the early lead from between foes, disputed the pace two wide into the turn then shook free and led to the quarter marker, held a clear lead into upper stretch and dug in into the final furlong, could not match strides with the winner into the final sixteenth and bested the rest. VUELA PALOMA broke out a step at the start but was away in good order, contested the early pace from the inside, dueled GARUDA into the turn then was turned away nearing the quarter marker, angled to the three path to upper stretch and chased into the final furlong, couldn't make headway on the leading pair in deep stretch but held well late for the show. MORETASTIC lunged then lost his path at the start and spotted the field to begin, swung widest to upper stretch, made a mild late rally and just missed for the show. LUCY'S COOKIE broke through the gate prior to the start, veered in at the break and crowded an inner rival, took back and settled outside of runners along the backstretch, chased four wide nearing the quarter pole, was outkicked to upper stretch and weakened in the final stages. SOPHISTRY broke alertly and showed good early speed, vied for command three wide along the backstretch run, lost ground nearing the quarter marker then came up empty in the stretch drive. MUSICAL DESIGN had head turned at the start then broke awkwardly, spotted the field to begin, was pulled up along the backstretch and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START FOR MUSICAL DESIGN, AND DETERMINED THAT RUNNER CAUSED HER OWN ISSUES AT THE START AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
