TON A LAUGHS went up to contest the early pace from inside of AMELIA, disputed modest fractions with that rival to the backstretch, pressed the pace to the far turn then dueled on even terms to upper stretch, took a narrow lead nearing the final sixteenth and determinedly dug in late to prevail. AMELIA forwardly placed away from the start, engaged with TON A LAUGHS then disputed the pace outside of that rival to the backstretch, held a narrow lead at the quarter marker, dueled into the stretch, fought gamely to the final sixteenth but was outfinished for the win and held for place. THUNDER PRINCESS crowded at the start and a step slow leaving the gate, settled in the second flight then was well placed to the backstretch, chased the leading pair to the quarter marker and roused three wide to upper stretch, was gaining late but could not reel in the top pair in deep stretch and was a clear third. WUDHOOH broke alertly then was a bit rank away from the gate and rated to the first turn, settled while saving ground to the backstretch, got caught in tight along the rail nearing the quarter marker, lacked a response to upper stretch, shifted out for the final sixteenth but couldn't muster a late response. IMPERIA BLUE crowded at the start and last away from the gate, settled in the early stages then was content to trail at the half-mile, roused three wide into the far turn, swung to the four path to upper stretch then did not offer a late bid.
