IGNIS COR raced off the pace inside, advanced inside, then between rivals on the turn, angled out three wide turning for home, rallied outside, drifted in at the sixteenth marker, then surged late outside and was up in time for the win. THE COROMOTO set the pace on the inside, responded when roused, kicked clear in upper stretch, dug in gamely, drifted out late in front of WINNING DEFENSE and was caught in the final strides. WINNING DEFENSE tracked close up on the inside, rallied on the rail in the stretch run, then was forced to check when lacking room in deep stretch. NOFFIES LATE NITE raced off the pace, advanced at the quarter pole, angled out in the stretch and closed belatedly outside. LADY CAJUN chased close up two wide, rallied between rivals in the stretch run, began to weaken, then steadied when in tight at the sixteenth marker. BODACIOUS QUEEN raced off the early pace, chased two and three wide on the turn, was forced out four wide into the stretch, then weakened. DILLY DALLY was fractious loading, chased close up three wide, then four wide on the turn, was forced out wider entering the stretch and tired. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the stretch run, along with Jockey Objections by the rider of WINNING DEFENSE against the top two finishers, the race was declared official.
