Footnotes
SIEGE OF BOSTON allowed to settle, moved up between runners along the backstretch, ran in pursuit two wide and between foes into the far turn, rallied three wide and between rivals to upper stretch, wore down TANK in the final sixteenth and proved best late. TANK broke alertly and took early command, set a pressured pace to the backstretch, dictated terms to the far turn then dug in into upper stretch, shook free nearing the furlong grounds, gamely met the bid of SIEGE OF BOSTON in the final sixteenth, was bested by the winner in deep stretch and held safely for the place. I KNOW I KNOW rated to the first turn, settled two to three wide and between rivals into the backstretch then trailed into the far turn, closed willingly between runners into the stretch drive, couldn't reel in the top pair late but held well at the wire for the show. MISSED THE CUT unhurried in the early stages, advanced to the far turn then roused three to four wide at the quarter marker, swung widest to upper stretch, battled to the final sixteenth but was outkicked in deep stretch. INDECISIVENESS forwardly placed early on, tracked the decent pace three deep to the backstretch, well placed to the second turn, chased three wide to upper stretch, lacked the needed response at mid-stretch then finished evenly. PREVENT was well placed while saving ground to the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the far turn then waited for racing room at the quarter pole, lacked a response when a seam developed into the lane and flattened out in the final sixteenth. PRIVATE THOUGHTS close up to the decent early pace, pressed TANK to the half-mile marker, went up to vie two wide and between foes into the far turn, was turned away into upper stretch then weakened in the final stages.
