SURF'S UP showed good speed from the gate and took early command, showed the way from the inside heading into the turn, led from the two path to upper stretch, kept to task while holding foes at bay into the lane, responded well into the final sixteenth then held sway to the wire. HOTTAKEJAKE settled in the second flight while outside of rivals, tracked three wide to the quarter pole, ran in pursuit from the four path to upper stretch, couldn't reel in the winner into the final sixteenth but won the battle for the place honors. SCHNITTKER tracked the early pace from the second flight, went up to chase SURF'S UP into the turn, ran in pursuit from the two path to upper stretch then angled in at the furlong grounds, couldn't reel in the winner into the final sixteenth then was outkicked for the place, while clear of the rest for the show. SEAVER crowded at the start and off slowly, settled early and trailed to the turn, advanced outside of rivals along the turn, swung to the seven path to upper stretch, bid to the final sixteenth but couldn't impact the leaders in deep stretch. STERLING HARMONY settled, gain three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, coaxed five wide to upper stretch, flattened out in the drive. MANHATTAN BOY in tight at the start and off a step slow, went up to track the early pace from the inside, well placed into the turn, saved ground to the stretch then lacked a rally into the drive and weakened. FAST FIXER crowded at the start and off slowly, settled then advanced along the inside heading to the turn, got caught in traffic into the bend then swung out at the quarter marker, coaxed from the six path into the lane, crowded at mid-stretch by an outer rival, lacked a final response and did not threaten late. LOBO GO prominent early, tracked the pace between rivals along the backstretch, lost ground while two wide into the turn, couldn't find more to upper stretch and tired in the drive.
