WINE CANDY sent, led off rail to upper stretch, dug in final furlong, denied the runner-up, held on for the win. SOFOCLES settled mid-pack, tracked between two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, rallied to mid-stretch, confronted WINE CANDY with a sixteenth to go, dueled to deep stretch but couldn't get by the determined winner, bested the rest. MAJESTIC NOIR rated off of the early pace, angled out and gained ground five to six wide to upper stretch, closed willingly to the final sixteenth and held safely for third. RODHAN tracked the early pace inside, well placed to the quarter marker, chased from the two path to upper stretch, outkicked in the final sixteenth. MESSAGEFROMTHEKING prominent early, stalked the pace between rivals heading to the turn, chased three then four wide nearing the top of the lane, outkicked at mid-stretch, stayed on to the final sixteenth but needed more late. LODATO allowed to settle, coaxed two wide and between rivals along the turn, made a mild gain into the stretch but could not reel in the leaders late. FREEDOM STREET settled mid-pack, saved ground to the quarter marker, mounted a rail bid to mid-stretch, couldn't sustain that run to the final sixteenth and flattened out. ASTRIDSHADOWMOON lunged inwards at the start and off slowly, settled while saving ground into the turn, kept an inside path to the stretch then failed to threaten late. KY'S LAW bumped at the start then settled in the early stages, coaxed three wide to the quarter marker, swung to the five path to upper stretch, no factor late. SWEET INTERLUDE broke in and hit the gate at the start, lacked early speed and trailed into the turn, no late response. GRAND JOKER chased the early pace from the outside, ran in pursuit four wide into the turn, fanned widest nearing the top of the lane, lacked the needed response to mid-stretch and tired.
