DASHER off a bit slowly leaving the start, lacked early speed and trailed to the backstretch, roused while widest into the far turn, swung to the six to seven path to upper stretch, responded well in the lane then surged late, battled TOUCH OF HONOR into deep stretch and determinedly prevailed. TOUCH OF HONOR well placed while tracking the early leaders, mounted a three wide bid to the far turn, fanned to the five path into upper stretch, shifted back to the four path for the drive and vied into the final furlong, took command and led to the final sixteenth, met the bid of DASHER in deep stretch and was gamely bested for the win, while clear of the rest for the place. WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE settled mid-pack, waited for racing room at the quarter marker, found a seam to upper stretch then bid between foes at the furlong marker, was outkicked into the final sixteenth but held well late for the show honors. KISSED BY A ROSE settled to the first turn, traveled between rivals while toward the rear along the backstretch, caught in traffic into the far turn then found a seam to upper stretch, asked three to four wide into the lane, needed more to the final sixteenth and just missed for the show. CLARE'S SHINES vied for early lead then stalked the pace to the backstretch, kept close attendance to PASTEL approaching the far turn, went up to vie for the lead nearing the quarter marker, held a narrow advantage to upper stretch then battled into the final furlong, couldn't find more to the final sixteenth and yielded late. SHELBY COUPE settled while saving ground to the backstretch, kept an inside path to the far turn then was caught a bit in tight along that bend, stayed along the rail to upper stretch then failed to threaten late. PASTEL was keen away from the start and took early command into the first turn, set a solid pace to the half-mile marker, overtaken into the far turn, battled into upper stretch then weakened in the final furlong.
