Footnotes
WAR WARRIOR bumped at the start then settled while saving ground in the early stages, made a sustained rail bid to upper stretch, vied for the lead from the inside at the furlong grounds, took command to the final sixteenth and drew clear late. VALIANT WINTER settled in the second flight to begin, asked from the four path nearing the top of the lane, bid to mid-stretch then vied into the final furlong, was outkicked by the winner into the final sixteenth but was clear of the rest for second. LOVE HATE broke out and bumped WAR WARRIOR at the start, showed good speed from the gate then made contact with IRON THE MONEY while vying for the early lead with that foe, set a quick pace from the inside heading into the turn, shook free to upper stretch and led to the furlong pole, couldn't hold off the top pair past mid-stretch and yielded, while clear of the rest for third. ARAUCANO allowed to settle, coaxed between rivals and two wide into the turn, saved ground to upper stretch, couldn't impact the leaders to the final sixteenth but improved position late. ELLAGIO unhurried in the early going, coaxed three wide into the turn, swung widest to upper stretch then failed to threaten late. IRON THE MONEY broke alertly and vied for the early lead with LOVE HATE, made contact with that one while battling for the front in the opening furlong, pressed the solid pace to the turn, chased three wide to upper stretch then couldn't keep pace approaching mid-stretch, gave way in the final furlong.
